Here is the obituary and arrangements for Bro. Philip Johnson. Funeral services for Philip C. Johnson of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00pm CST at Heritage Baptist Church with Bro. Derek Farr and Bro. Doug Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00pm CST on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Mr. Johnson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday. Mr. Johnson passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Virginia Diane Johnson of Roanoke; two daughters, Christie Vickery (husband Stewart) and Elandra Moon (husband, Greg) of Roanoke; two sons, Felix Johnson (wife, Nancy) of Opelika and Heath Johnson (wife, Patrina) of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Smith. Pallbearers will be Benji Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Justin Johnson, Nick Johnson, Joel Etchison, and Brandon Etchison. Honorary pallbearer will be Rodney Smith. A Randolph County native, Mr. Johnson was born on October 26, 1948 the son of Robert Clarence and Mary Artis Johnson. He was a member of True Faith Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and worked for the City of Roanoke as a police officer. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; one son Allen Dale Johnson; a granddaughter, Holly Diane Johnson; a brother, Rayford Coy Johnson; and a sister, Venice Johnson. Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to True Faith Baptist Church in memory of Phillip Johnson c/o Felix Johnson, 309 Hillcrest Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801.

Our Pastor Bro. Phillip Johnson passed away this morning just remember to keep his family in your prayers as they go through this time of need. Thank You all for your prayers.

We have had some people ask us do we mainly use KJV Bibles ? Here is your answer our church is based on KJV Bibles our preachers preach out of KJV Bibles and our Sunday school lessons are based on them and the members of the church use them. It is ok if you bring a different version Bible. But we believe in the KJV Bibles.
